The ¡°Sun Cup¡± label printing award was co-founded in 2008 by Keyin Media, the Association of Printing Industry and Shanghai Xinmin Sun Machinery Co., Ltd. The theme of the competition is ¡°Label creates new life¡±, and its goal is to select the best label products and printing firms and, through exhibition and promotion, to help label experts and label end users to get to know more about China label printing firms.
All the label design and printing firms registered in China and colleges and universities are eligible for the contest. The products are divided into seven categories: cosmetics, medicine, daily cosmetics, industrial chemicals, food, beverage and alcohol, electronic and others. As a once-every-two year¡¯s event, the second ¡°Sun Cup¡± label printing award will be held in 2010.
The forum was co-founded in 2008 by Printing and Printing Equipment Industries Association of China and Keyin Media affiliated with China Academy of Printing Science and Technology. An annual event, the forum has won great support and active participation of label processing enterprises and label end users.
The Forum is aimed at building a high-end platform for label professionals and experts, printing firms, facilities and technology suppliers and label end users to discuss topics ranging from the latest technology and techniques and their applications to market trends and other issues¡£
The total area of Label China 2008 reached 6,000 square meters. Many famous companies and firms participated. Among them Xinmin Sun was the largest exhibitor in terms of area(300 square meters). Companies which came with facilities covering large areas included United (US), Founder, Basch Group, Nilpeter, Tianjin Jinlong Sci-tech and Zhongshan Fuzhou. Label China 2008 was a grand review of top label technology. Associations which organized groups to visit were Shenzhen Association of Trades, Shenzhen Association of Technology, Guangdong Association of Packaging Merchants, Guangdong Association of Printing and Copying, and Guangzhou Packaging Association. Statistics showed that more than 3,000 people visited the exhibition during the three-day show¡£

Printing and Printing Equipment Industries Association of China (PEIAC)
Printing and Printing Equipment Industries Association of China (PEIAC) was founded in 1985 in Beijing. PEIAC is a nationwide social economic organization. It has more than 1400 company members, 47 group members (including local printing associations). PEIAC is not only a customers association, but also a manufacturers association. PEIAC works as a ¡°bridge¡± between the government and enterprises.

China Academy of Printing Technology
China Academy of Printing Technology, or CAPT, was founded in 1956 as part of the General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP). In 2002 CAPT received approval from the State Council to operate as a state-owned technological enterprise. At that point CAPT was wholly incorporated into China Printing Corporation (CPC) under the jurisdiction of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.
CAPT is the largest comprehensive printing technology research institution in China. It is also a modern media company with high - tech products as its core business. CAPT specializes in journal and book publishing, exhibition and conference services, consultation, and market research.
