The basic need for the whole exercise of forming a federation seems to be the very fact that the world in the west is looking into Asia for possible expansion of their business interest and in fact they see their survival in these difficult times from
making entries into these markets. According to forecasts from the ¡®pundits¡¯ in the west, the Asian region would be recovering faster from the recession that the west. Already there have been forays into the Asian market by IPEX (UK),Tarsus (UK), Reed Exhibitions and the likes. Their might, in terms of money power and organizational capabilities, cannot be doubted. Many others in the industry are also on the Bookout for buy-outs and mergers for making forays into the
interesting Asian marketplace. The Asian exhibition holders, when united can give them a tough fight and a run for their money.
Under the leadership of the Chairman, Mr. Wang Demao, the energy levels of all the participants during the discussions gave a good sign of a formidable group so to say. The unity shown by the attendees of the Federation, makes a good sight
to see and surely a positive one for a change.
